Len Goldstein

After four decades of the practice of law, Len still enjoys it and appreciates the opportunity of learning curves for issues and circumstances he has yet to encounter. Over those decades he has enjoyed a diverse career in law.  He initially practiced law as a Colorado State Public Defender trying many cases from ordinance violations to very serious felony crimes over a four-year period.  The second phase of his law practice spanned 20 years in a firm he helped build to 15 lawyers and which for him became a litigation practice that included civil litigation including many forms of business litigation, employment law, IP matters, anti-trust, and negligence cases.  1995 began the third phase of his legal career.  He had the opportunity to be general counsel to three publicly traded companies over a 14-year period.  The first Company, a startup, became a successful publicly traded company that grew from 10 people to 1500 people in just over 5 years, completing over 10 acquisitions before being acquired itself by a database company in 2000.  The second opportunity in his corporate phase was with a publicly traded company facing serious financial difficulties resulting in a successful Chapter 11 bankruptcy and an acquisition by a private equity group.  His last position in Corporate America was with a fortune 100 consulting firm where he served as industry counsel for the business process outsourcing division.  There, he had the opportunity to create and negotiate contracts from the small to the mega millions.

The current phase of Len's legal career is a solo practice, Leonard M. Goldstein, LLC.  In his new practice, Len concentrates on smaller business, including late stage startups, real estate, life and estate planning and probate.  Recently he completed the probate of two significant probate estates involving international implications and other selected forms of litigation.  He continues to enjoy the legal learning curve and welcomes the opportunity to serve individuals both in business and in life’s challenges.
